Current skincare favourites

Depending on the time of the year my skincare routine changes. Having eczema too I always find myself switching and changing to find the best thing for my skin at the time.
Over the past month I've been reaching for the same products quite a lot so I thought I'd share some of my favourite ones.

First up I use the Clinique liquid facial wash which I use with my sonic facial brush and most of the time I use a micellar water to get rid of any makeup first. This is nice and gentle on my skin and gets rid of any left over products which the micellar didn't get rid of. This leaves my skin feeling soft and plump and I have been really enjoying using it.

Next up is my Liz Earle hot cloth cleanse and polish. I love using this and I often switch it up between this and my Clinique liquid face wash. This also gets rid of any product on my skin whilst making my skin feel softer than anything else and really makes my skin feel and look healthier. This isn't the best of products when my eczema is particularly bad but otherwise I love it.

After cleaning my face I use my Kiehls midnight recovery oil which is literally a godsend to my skin as it helps keep my dry skin at bay and makes my skin feel hydrated. I also love the smell of this product, I've been using this for a good few months now and I can't imagine not having this in my skincare routine.

Next is the product that I've had the longest, the Clinique dramatically different moisturising lotion. I apply this about an hour after putting oil on my face to add an extra layer of hydration to my skin. This isn't too heavy or thick and dries quite quickly into the skin. It isn't oiling either which is always good, this helps hydrate my skin and stop it from flacking which it often does.

Lastly is Clarins comforting lip oil. I honestly love this and one of my favourite skincare products I own. I've been applying this to my lips every night and it really has been stopping my lips from cracking and flacking Its really nourishes the lips and is perfect during the cold weather.

Overall I've been loving all of these products this month and would recommend them all to anyone especially if you have dry skin.

  2. I've been using the Kielh's midnight recovery oil too - does such a good job however I didn't want to bring it on holiday with me as the bottle is quite delicate and I thought it might break in our suitcase so missing it at the moment :(
